LSAS 2008 is hosted by IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique). Founded by composer and conductor Pierre Boulez in the early 70s, IRCAM remains today the only center of its kind across the globe, dedicated to contemporary musical research and production and linked to the Centre Pompidou .

The workshop will take place in the Salle Stravinsky (main conference room), located at ground level, close to the main entrance.

There will be WiFi available. Login information will be handed out on-site.

Getting to IRCAM


Ircam is located in the center of Paris, and is easy accessible by metro, bus or RER (commuter trains). For detailed transport information see RATP .

- Metro: the closest stations are Hôtel de Ville (lines 1 and 11), Rambuteau (line 11), Châtelet (lines 4 and 11) and Les Halles (line 4).

- RER: IRCAM is close to Paris' main commuter train hub at Châtelet-Les Halles (lines A, B and D).

- Bus: lines 38, 47, 67, 75, 76.
